Design Features

Agricultural gearboxes and PTO shafts
Agricultural equipment includes various PTO shafts. Each is joined by a yoke at both ends and rotates between 540 and 1,000 rpm. Safety guards are usually installed at both ends of the power take-off shaft to protect the operator. These guards are also present on tractors and implement to ensure maximum efficiency. The use of an internal yoke also provides additional security.
Agricultural transmissions are designed to vary the output speed of a PTO drive shaft. It can be used as a decreasing or increasing ratio gearbox. Using a reduction ratio gearbox, reduces the speed of the PTO shaft from 1000 rpm to 540 rpm, allowing you to use equipment designed for 540 rpm. On the other hand, the variable speed gearbox increases the speed of the PTO shaft from 540 rpm to 1000 rpm.
